Partys and votes

The Red Sour patch has won the vote, Green Sour patch hated Red . Red sour patch would win everything! Even if stuff were not in "Voting", Blue sour patch didn't care about anything. He just wanted attention! Red sour patch was kids favorite. Blue was not really eaten. Red and Black Was a rare type of sour patch only 20% of the kids liked him, but they call him "the rare sour patch kids"

Today Room seven was learning about graphs to show how many amount of votes each party got, the pictures shows how many votes the party got. Labour got 13 votes (it was the highest out of everything).

I enjoyed writing my sour patch story, it was very difficult to find out to embed my picture into my blog post. But I really enjoyed doing this task.

Are you going to vote?

The election.

Did you know that New Zealand is divided it to 71 geographical areas called “electorates”, or “seats”, including seven maori Electoralates. Each electorates is represented by one member of Parliament (MP).

Representatives are actually chosen every three years, which means there is a general election every three years, which also means there is an act of parliament which outlines rules that they have set for the elections, the Electoral Commision will be responsible for running every election and making sure that each and every rule in the election.

Every New Zealanders who is enrolled in the election as the voters can actually offer themselves as “Candidates” for an election, most candidates belong to different types of parties like a political party.

A politician is a type of group which is a group of people that have similar views on how our country should be run, and have different laws.

DIY Magical vegetable Rice!

Today Room seven at GTG (garden to table). We made the most amazing Frie rice, At first Group two went to the garden with Mrs Tonga. And we looked for the vegetables for the Frie rice, Then Group two and One switched and Group two went with Mrs Venkat while Group one went with Mrs Tonga. After making everything (not everything Mrs Venkat did most of the work).

We did a taste test and it was so delicious! I wanted to have the whole thing to myself..But we have to share we had to, (because we are a family!), but I mostly liked the rice, including the vegetables. Room seven was begging for more! "Mrs Venkat is there anymore?" we ask like we are literally going to get more, she says in sadness "No sorry.", We were in disappointment, but she promised if we will make this delicious meal again she will get us a LARGER piece.

I'm really exited if we do make it again.

It was hard at first but I got use to it, The easy part was folding, and putting the strings together. It has gotten way easier, I learned new tips and tricks on how to make a mask.

Seekers and Hiders.

Since overpopulation the government has decided to divide everybody into hiders and seekers. Here's how it goes.If you're a hider your job is to basically hide when a bell rings, if you hear a bell ring that is an alarm for you to hide, if you are found you die. Seekers are people who have to find hiders and kill them to gain more lives. To also know that you are a hider or a seeker a blue dot or red dot will appear on your neck, if you are blue your a hider if you are red you are a seeker. So just a tiny girl was asked by her mum ¨what did you choose ash?¨ she said, then ash showed her neck her blue dot and her mother knew she had chosen hider. As Ash got back to what she was doing, her parents Mary and Jason went to the room quietly and discussed some stuff in private. Ash was very curious of what they were talking about so she decided to put her head towards the door and listen in, all she could hear was ¨Im not sure she made the right move, she does not know what the seekers did to my family, they stole my parents, everyone one I knew...Everyone I loved.¨ after hearing that, Ash went into tears, she can´t stop thinking about what happened to her fathers parents. Weeks past and no sign of the seekers, in hiders class she was worried the bell would just ring any second. A drill went, ash ran to a hiding spot and was crying inside and she was scared that one of her friends would be found. (2 hours later) ¨thank you for your cooperation, the drill has ended¨ She was in a relief. After the drill she walked back home and was still thinking about who would kill her fathers Loved one, she felt this tense in her body as she felt someone behind her, this stranger came right beside her and whispered saying ¨its showing¨ he said, she knew in a second that her blue dot was showing, ¨thanks...¨ and he ran away. Next day walking to school, she arrived and straight away the drill went off people were screaming this is not a drill hide, hide!! so Ash hid with Alexis and Alexis told her in tears saying that Alex and Jamie were found, and Ash and her cried quietly. Hours past and the speaker said ¨Seekers are gone, 2 people were found, Rest and Peace¨, as ash went home she had enough and covered her Blue dot with makeup and put a red dot on top so she did not have to cover...To be continued.

Tooth paste and water!!!

Today I was wondering what to post on my blog. I decided to see what Toothpaste and water would do if I mixed them together so then I mixed them with a spoon and also shaked it for a long time, after a couple of minutes had past and it foamed up, I squeezed it tightly and the foam was coming out. Look in the picture!

It looked so cool, I wish I could do more but I not like to make a mess, feel free to try it, if it does not work maybe try other ideas, Enjoy.

Oil and water put together experiment with the family.

Today Me and my family decided to spend some family time together, so we thought whats the best way to spend time together with cool experiments! so we searched up fun experiments to do, (and safe ones) then we found one with Oil out together with Water, then when we put it in a cup, they did not mix together. So I thought why did it not mix together? well here is a fun fact.

Water and Oil do not mix up because they have different types. Or they don´t have the same thing as each other. In order to make Oil mixed with something, Your gonna have to find its right type.

if you look closer in my photo you can clearly see that the Oil is on top of the water.

Zip-lock water challenge.

Some time ago Mr. Vega and Mrs. Loney have gave us a task or Challenge to do where we put Water in a Zip-lock bag and draw a graph on it and put it on our window and wait for it to evaporate. It was really fun doing it, and waiting for it to evaporate. I took some photos and let it wait on the window, I am so excited for it to evaporate, I will give updates when it does! Giving you a heads up you can not see the graph because it rubbed off.

hunger ball instructions.

Instructions:
How many players:
5 to 6 players or less but it can't only be one player.
Object: To get into peoples goals.
Play: To play, your obviously you need players up to five to 6 players, there are three games combined into hunger ball. Handball, Hockey, soccer, the reason for this game is you have to every ball in each game (hockey, soccer, and handball.) and you have to get the ball in there goal to get them out of the game and earn a point, if someone hit it into your goal you are out and someone takes over.
Penalty: if someone hits in you're goal, you are out, and your points restart all over again.
Rules of the game: You can not use your hands, but if it is in one game you can but you can' t hold the ball you can only hit the ball or kick. if you hold the ball, or if someone hits it in your goal then you are out. in all the games you can not use your hands in the other games you can not use your hands. Other players remain in their goals, can come out once the ball is touched (one ball, no hands).
Out of the game:  if you are out, of course someone takes over your teams spot, and wait till someone get outs and you can take your spot back into the game but different number, or same.

How to do a pie graph (to be completed)

My pie graphs explain the percentages of water in the world. In new Zealand Place:Auckland, we have a water shortage, we don´t have much water left, in the future we don´t know whats going too happen with Aucklands water. it has happened two times! this is the second time that Auckland has had a water shortage. So our teacher decided to teach us about water, the water facts, water graphs and more. We did a water poster and also did maths including water, on how to save it and also how too save Auckland with the water shortage, too save water shortages we need short showers, washing our hands but the thing is with the virus coming threw we need to learn how to wash our hands shortly but still keep clean.
My pie graphs and percentages.

Why is water so important?

Why is water so important for us? I will tell you why, You can spend 1 month without food, but only 1 week without water, water is very important because everything can't survive without water.

Even plants need water, Nature needs water, We need water, we are also kinda made out of water, (Only some body parts are made or have water). Everything on earth is water, without water I don't think we would be here.
Earth also needs water, some countries don't even have water, they have to walk miles just to get water to survive. Water can also control temperature. For example, let's say you're sick and you're getting heated up, your parents have to give you water to cool down so you can feel better.
in the olden days they didn't have any  water, they had to drink dirty water which was not healthy, but now we have machines that can clean in the dirty disgusting water.
So they had to try hard and figure out how to clean the dirty water, some people died because they needed clean water, some people died because they never had water.
Those are my 3 reasons and facts :)
In room 7 we learned why water is so important, I wrote 3 reasons and facts (there are more facts) , we also did a poster of saving water and nature, please enjoy and give feedback if I need some.

Charting Captain James Cook

On August 1768, Captain James Cook, he had two sets of instructions, the first instructions was too travel to Tahiti and observe the transits of Venus, which would be an event that would be watched by everybody, even scientists! all around the world, Captain James Cook, second sets of instructions was "Secret", that not many people knew, after his transit, his ship, The Endeavour was heading to south.
it was hoped Cook would find the "Great Continent". people thought that landmass must exist to the "balance" out the world, the time had come to actually put in the map.
After James Cook observed the transit, Cook has finally set sail to the south, He no idea of what he could find there, three months later, it was October 6th 1769, a twelve year old Salior named Nicholas young has spotted the land, The Endeavour Sailed Turanganui-a-kiwa-near-present-day Gisborne - two days later.

Just like earth, Venus travels around the sun, but it follows a closer orbit. Sometimes the planets path takes it between Earth and the sun, when it happens, we can see Venus move across the suns face. This is called a transit, Venus transits are very rare, but predictable, but they can occur. I think charting was important to Captain James Cook, but not only Charting was important to James Cook, but also math's was, Math's was important to Captain James Cook because, math's can help you if your stuck, example, lets say I get lost in a forest right? I use my math's inside me, the reason why is because I could redo my steps, or use a compass, there are so many ways to use maths.

Today I learned about Captain James Cook, and about his history, we also learned how to write an essay! we learned about longitude and latitude, I had so much fun writing this.

My lock-down paradise story!

Hello! Today I have been writing a story about my latest post! it is my lock-down paradise story... it is about what I like about my paradise and why! enjoy.

If you have been seeing my latest blog, and have been keeping up, I have posted an avatar, of where my lock-down paradise would be, my picture has a beautiful tropical trees and I love swimming and I love nature, but not so much insects, but I love the summer, and I love inventing stuff what I love about inventing is you can craft things nobody have crafted before, and you can also bring old stuff you loved back in the day BETTER! That's what I love doing bringing stuff back to life! Not like the bad stuff, like bringing from the dead- but like lets say old shoes are what people hate ( no offence to the people who love old shoes it's just for an example ) and let's say you turn them into cool new nike shoes! That's what I mean, I like inventing, but I don't like paper, some people don't know that paper is made from trees... so I don't like to use paper, another thing I like about nature is you get to learn about plants, and it is easy you don't need to find food! And you make stuff AWAY from the INTERNET and you could make stuff, and it is easy to find food! Like fish, and plant fruits! That's why I chose my lock-down paradise. it is neat, and you can stay away from the internet and explore for a little bit!.

What I enjoyed about this project is that it is like a continue of your story like in a movie, you think the movie is over BUT IT IS NOT! but the hard part is to include more things and think about ideas about it, but I like that it is fun!.

What is your fun lock-down paradise??

Today we are learning about emotions. And what we get happy, Mad, Sad , or Calm Enjoy.

I'm  Angry when my school gives us extra homework.
I was so Furious! when my cat jumps on the kitchen counter.
I get Scared  when my friend goes ignores me for no reason.
I was VERY Shocked when my teacher gives us uneasy when math's in class.

I'm Motivated! when my school gave us FREE juicy's!.
I feel Satisfied when my parents get special dinner!.
I was connected when me and my friend get to know each other more.
I was very very Focused when my math teacher gives us easy math's for homework!.

I was very Miserable when my school gave us more minutes of school when it is about to end.
I was disappointed when everybody at my house had work and I was Alone.
I was Lonely when all my friends were to busy to talk to me.
I was very tired when my teacher did not let us go play at the end of class

I was calm when school let us go early.
I was safe when I went back home
I was very Respected when my friends had a lot of time to talk to me.
I was very very fulfilled when my teacher let us go out very early.

Today we have been learning about feelings and emotions, the most easy thing was getting the words, but the most hardest thing was figuring out the sentence, but I enjoyed the project of today.

What are your emotions??

A typical day doing of Belinda :).

Routines questions, and answering them !!!!!!!

This is what Room 7 has been working on for the hole week, we have been writing non-stop! we are writing about lock down and what we have been doing! enjoy.

My routine! and what a typical day was!

My hero in lock down

My hero is……….

My hero is my family, but mostly my brother, he would always play with me, and if I was bored. Every single day when I would wake up, I was already bored at the first second of the day, my other hero (I have a lot of heros, they're the best!) My other hero are my friends, when my brother said he had to do homework, I would always go to my chrome book, and text or video call with my friends, when we start talking to each other, we didn’t realise the time we have been chatting for, we have suddenly been chatting for….. 6 HOURS!, but trust me that was not the highest- “ we need to add a timer….” Margaux said, so we agreed, and we even added more people from school, we decided to only add our friends so it would not be awkward with people we don’t talk to- but it was fine. 2 days later in lock down, I started to get house fever, but someone helped me, My mother! Of course we have the best parents but if you don’t know what “house fever” is it is not a fever, it means you start to get tired or do something you have never done before, like clean your room. You might be asking what she did you may ask? Well I am here to answer all your questions, you ask, I give- anyways back to the question, what she did was give me outdoor food in a LONG line, I was so thankful, and she got my favorite food! What is it you ALSO may ask? It was Mcdonalds of course. But It was also my dad he would also tell me to get a good job in my future and don’t let the Coronavirus or Covid-19 beat me up, and he would always admire me to get a good job like him, he works at night and comes back in the morning, but there is a coincidence, my dad works at night and he comes in morning, but my mum works in the morning and comes back at night. This is my last hero is Jacinda, the prime minister, she kept me safe with all the cases going to 1,000 all the way to 0.

This is my hero.

feelings (answering questions)

MY FEELINGS ANSWERING QUESTIONS (FEEL FREE TO COMMENT)

This is what Room 7 has been doing for the past 2 days, the reason we are doing this is to take out your feelings, and we have to be honest, we don't want to keep stuff from our teachers or students if they understand, they could maybe give you some advice.

As I said they could understand, but if its maybe bad then you should ask a teacher that could help, but make sure to choose a teacher you feel comfortable with, anyways enough of me blabbing around you are probably bored of me talking, anyways enjoy reading and feel free to comment!.

what I did in quaratine.

What i did in quarantine or isolation (the 8 week)

What happened in the 8 weeks? in the first week of quarantine (in alert level 4) it was very hard, my parents going to work, well my big brother looks after me, i felt doomed, it was like i was banned from everything, it was hard, "at least i have online class" I said to myself proudly. But something TERRIBLE happened, my online class site was not working, outside of me, i didn't cry, inside i was dead and crying to myself, I tired a MILLION things to help, nothing worked. 2 days later, still not working, nothing worked at all, i said to myself " I am never going to get it working, I am never going to online class, i am just going to have to work with PAPER and PENCIL" I said sadly. My mother came back from work, and said happily "did you finally get it fixed? how was online class?." she said with a smile on her face, "No, I never got it fixed" i even told my brother, my brother was a smart guy when it comes to electronics, he could fix the internet, he is the boss of the internet, he did everything on the internet, but he could not fix it at all....I another day another FAIL, i THOUGHT.... My online class site was working again!.

FIRST DAY ON ONLINE CLASS!! (My favorite day)

of course this is my favorite day,  its my first day of "ONLINE CLASS!" I loved meeting my teacher and my friends! it was great, everyday of me doing work, and finally a day of me feeling it, we sadly did not have a special dinner of me finally having my first online class, but the rest of the weeks was me having online classes and we even had more teachers invited and ROOM 6! but the rest of the week me going back to school, and working.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR BORED!.

1. clean your room, don't let quarantine get in your way of being messy.

2. play games, or watch netflix and chill.

3. right in a book and write your feelings.

4. maybe cook some food for yourself, treat yourself.

5. Have some fun and facetime friends! (i ave been doing that non stop.
