Today Me and my family decided to spend some family time together, so we thought whats the best way to spend time together with cool experiments! so we searched up fun experiments to do, (and safe ones) then we found one with Oil out together with Water, then when we put it in a cup, they did not mix together. So I thought why did it not mix together? well here is a fun fact.
Water and Oil do not mix up because they have different types. Or they don´t have the same thing as each other. In order to make Oil mixed with something, Your gonna have to find its right type.
if you look closer in my photo you can clearly see that the Oil is on top of the water.
Kia ora Belinda. That is interesting. It explains why when you wash up an oily pan the oil and water stay separate. What do you mean when you say they have different types? Maybe you could share the website that you got the idea from so that other people can have a go?
ReplyDeleteGreat blog post Belinda. I'm glad you and your family are finding fun experiments to do during lockdown!
ReplyDeleteHello Belinda Another interesting science phenomenon. Are you explain in your own words why this is happening. I like how you have used online learning to act and behave like a scientist. I can see you having a career in Science? What Science job would you like to have?
